How to Improve English Speaking skill totally confident!

Hello there, I am Ben Tran, the CEO and Founder of BenEnglish, and I am an ESL teacher teaching English online. I got many questions from my students about how to improve English speaking skill.

That’s why I think I should write something here and share with you all those, ESL learners.
Learning a language, in general, is not really much difficult. The first and very first thing to do is to listen to people, movies, audio CD, or whatever in spoken English so that you get familiar to English sounds.
Remember, listen as much and often as you can.

How to improve your English Speaking skill.

If you want to speak English well, you must practice it daily. This is very important thing you must do.
There are two things which you can look at :

On-Site practice:
– I use the word on-site practice that I mean you practice your English speaking skill whenever you have chance to talk to people in English. Don’t be shy or fear to make mistakes when you speak. This is the key that brings you up the fluency. You can adjust yourself any time a mistake happens.
– When you have chance to speak English, just talk about something simple, like your daily activities, your free time, your family, your school,….. Don’t think about big topic that makes you stuck during the time you speak – YOU HAVE NOW WORD TO EXPRESS THE BIG THINGS.

Off-Site practice:
– Many people say they don’t have environment to practice their English speaking. Well, I have one way which can help you get out of this.
Just write down about five simple sentence structures which can be used in spoken English. Do the drilling exercises by thinking it in mind. Replaces word(s) or phrase(s) in those sententence structures to produce new ones. Do it as many as you can.
For example, I have a structure “I am from Korea“.
I take “I” and “Korea” to do the drilling. I can produce some new sentences like:
“SHE is from Korea.”
“I am not from Korea. I am from Japan.”
“HE is from the US. They aren’t from the U.S. They’re from England.”
